A friend sent me your address after he saw your collection pix. I had just shown him my old Conn 40B. I guessed that it was made for military use so there was similarity between trumpets and cornets as it looks like an art deco trumpet but is really a cornet. Any other ideas on what they were used for? Thanks for posting your collection!

Robert,
Thanks for sharing your horn collection. I found your site while googling for information on my 1949 Buescher 400 trumpet. It is a genuine U.S. Army issue instrument. I got it as a backup horn for my main axe, a 1980 Claude Gordon L.A. Benge. This particular Buescher is marked, "The Lightweight." It's a responsive and easy-playing horn.
Best regards,
Paddy

What a nice job you did on your site. I found it by googling to try to identify my Conn #346268. That serial number seems to date it to about 1941 or 2. Right around my birth time. I'd like to find out answers to questions like original price, whether student quality or better. It seems to be a pretty nice horn. Any hints as to how to go about researching will be appreciated.
